A&G House

An early 20th Century Brussels home re-imagined for contemporary family living

Complete renovation and refurbishment of a 20th Century house in Brussels, Belgium. The clients - a family with children - wanted the design to reflect their passion for colours, light and space. Black and white graphic pattern tiling was added throughout the ground floor level, with sliding and glass doors maximizing the natural light and available space. In the kitchen, a custom picture window with an integrated bench brings the outdoors in.

Colour is used innovatively with a dark paint bringing focus to the original feature staircase, while on the upper-level bright painted floors create contrast between rooms. In the bathroom a new double walk-in shower and black herringbone tiling transforms the space.
